Joy Sakwe

Music Pastor

Joy Sakwe is currently a doctoral student in Educational Leadership at Oral Roberts University. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Buea, Cameroon. She is also a Master’s degree holder in Business Administration from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Joy is a recent graduate from Oral Roberts University, holding a second Master’s in practical Theology with concentration in Urban Ministry.

She is a passionate young woman on a mission to empower the next generation to pursue God’s purpose through discipleship and impartation of knowledge. To this effect, she spearheads a summer program for kids in association with LWIC called InHim Academy. InHIM Academy is an educational framework specially designed for kids between 4 and 18 to enable them to step into their God given purpose and potential. The overall intent of this program is to provide each child with an atmosphere to thrive while enjoying life-transforming classroom and field experiences.

As a worshiping church, LWIC has a culture of worship that emanates from an overflow of the presence of God and His Glory revealed in the lives of every member. As the Worship pastor, Joy believes that, “Worship is not just the act of singing but an expression of love, gratitude and oneness, in all that is said and done in the life of a believer.” Our desire at LWIC is therefore to build up passionate worshipers who are ready to be front liners and carriers of the presence of God.
